This afternoon I attended the inaugural “Leadership in Medicine” seminar where Dr. Hugh Scully spoke to a group of students about the importance of the medical profession taking a leadership role in Canadian society.

Medicine is full of jargon. Medicine in the Caribbean is no different. During my recent trip to Jamaica the most common problems seen in every department were “sugar” and “pressure”
